Tromsø International School

Tromsø International School (TRINT) is a small and well-established International Baccalaureate (IB) World School located on the campus of UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. The school serves approximately 200 students aged 6–16 and offers the IB Primary and Middle Years Programmes. TRINT is an authorized IB school operating under the Norwegian Private School Act (§2-1) and has been part of the international education landscape in Norway for over 15 years.
The school community is diverse and international, representing many nationalities, while remaining firmly embedded in the Norwegian education system. Approximately half of the faculty are Norwegian educators, and the school places strong emphasis on collaboration, inclusion, and professional learning. Teaching and learning are supported by modern facilities, purpose-built for inquiry-based and collaborative approaches, following the school’s move into a new building in 2022.
